Disruption of the normal qualitative and quantitative composition of microflora, caused by various factors, is called dysbiosis or dysbacteriosis. In foreign literature, the term “bacterial overgrowth syndrome” is more commonly used. The current stage of human development is characterized by the emergence of profound contradictions in the evolutionarily developed system of relations between the macroorganism and its symbiotic microflora.
According to epidemiological studies, about 90% of the world’s population suffers from intestinal dysbiosis to one degree or another, and in recent decades there has been an increase in intestinal dysbiosis.
Various probiotics and prebiotics are used to normalize the qualitative and quantitative composition of the microflora. Probiotics are live microorganisms and substances of microbial origin that,
when administered naturally, have a positive effect on the physiological, biochemical, and immune responses of the host organism by stabilizing and optimizing the function of its normal microflora.
There are a large number of probiotics containing various components of beneficial bacteria. The new Rotabiotic, created for the correction and prevention of intestinal dysbiosis, is a multi-component probiotic that includes strains of lactobacilli and bifidobacteria – Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium ssp., as well as Streptococcus thermophilus.
